Oh, I ‘heart’ this family so so much! I got to know them through their daughter, Kennedy, at Mary Ellen School of Dance. She’s been a ballet student of mine for the last couple of years. Such a good kid! Seriously! Hard working, attentive, disciplined, etc.. It was clear that she was from great stock as I got to know Mom. Such a good person. A down to Earth mama who’s been through it all, who plows through life with vigor, and is there for each one of her kiddos! I truly admire her. I hope that she knows how amazing she is!

I was so flattered that she inquired about having family photos taken. I think that it’s so important to have photos of your family every couple of years. It’s easy to put it off or not be able to find the time. I get it. But to carve out a few hours to get everyone put together and in the same place…it’s priceless. And you know, as the kids get older, it’s harder to have everyone together.

She decided on Silver Springs State Park, which is such a lovely location. The admission is affordable and the setting is beautiful. When shooting at Silver Springs, I like to think of it as just a walk through the park…slow and steady; take in the scenery here, pose for a couple of photos there, enjoy each other’s company. I really just try to keep it as relaxing as possible. See for yourself…
